PROBLEM STATEMENT

In Figma, design a low-friction mobile iOS neo-bank onboarding flow that includes multiple signup options (social media and/or OTP of your choice) and collects essential information about the user. Once the screens and flow are complete, provide comments to explain your design decisions.

APPROACH

RESEARCH

Some insights I took into consideration while designing were,
1. A neobank is defined as a “digital-first financial company that offers banking services like checking accounts and debit cards but does not have a physical location.” This calls for a seamless user-experience to gain trust, ensure convenience, and retain customers.
2. Target users are segments that are “dissatisfied with the traditional banking system, such as millennials, freelancers, and small business owners”. The users want a new and modern way to handle their finances.I’ve tried to achieve modern touch through my UI.

3. I conducted a competitive analysis to see the pros and cons of their UX. Downloading and using these apps gave me the essence of neobanks as I wasn’t aware of this term prior to the task. Becoming familiar with the system broadened my perspective and let me think of my solutions.

IDEATE

Post research, I worked on designing my user flow and frames.
I used FigJam to design a flowchart of the different stages, made low-fidelity paper sketches, and moved onto high-fidelity wireframes on Figma.

DESIGN

I took inspiration from other design works and built an inspiration board for ‘epay’

- Created styles for defining my color palette, text and design theme (gradient glow)

- Built components like buttons, field inputs, and icon library and used external library for iOS components.

- Depicted empty states, error states, popups, and Made elements interactive and created prototypes for easier understanding of the flow.

- Tested the design with the target users, collected feedback, and iterated.
