So, you've stumbled onto my little corner of the internet. Let me tell you a bit about myself, in words (not wireframes). My journey has been a series of events—it started in art, dove headfirst into entrepreneurship, and ended up in the tech world. I’m all about mixing my love for art with my knack for solving puzzles, which is pretty much what UX design is to me.
While I was deep into my engineering degree, I decided to spice things up by launching my handmade art startup. Imagine juggling algorithms and art supplies—that was me! Connecting with people through my art while coding away? Indeed, the best of both worlds! That's how I took my first step into the magical world of UX design, where I got to blend all my passions into one.
I spent some time at a marketing agency, working as a UI/UX Intern, and it was an absolute thrill. I got to hone my skills and put my spin on things while I realized my love for designs that aren’t just pretty but also practical and feel good to use.
I’m always on the lookout for the next fun thing to do, and love meeting people who share that vibe. But often, you’ll find me in my own little world, jamming out to some tunes (with my large blue headphones) and working on my next design project. I’m a sucker for a good pun and try to sprinkle a little bit of humor into everything I do. Life’s too short to not have some pun with it, right? I’m equally passionate about hitting the gym and diving into a big slice of cake afterward. Balance is key!

Mehek was a pleasure to work with while she was at Ecolab. She was very helpful as we navigated through our product where I was new in the role. Her questions were always well thought out and made me reason through my ideas, which helped me to understand our goals better and make adjustments to the stories. Mahek is returning to RIT to continue her education now, and we are very sorry to see her go, and I hope that we have the opportunity to work together again. If not, I know that she will make a positive impact wherever she ends up!
The growth that Mehek has displayed in her 6 months of internship at Knowledge Units has been impeccable. She's resilient, wants to learn, and will go over and above with you if you give her that liberty. She managed to upskill herself from being able to design a basic portfolio website, to a full-fledged experience and UI design for SaaS products in those 6 months. She's an asset to any team she joins, both professionally and personally, will be for you too.
I had the pleasure of working with Mehek as a UX Design Intern at Ecolab over the summer. Mehek was a wonderful addition to the team. She was always happy to take the initiative, delivered beautiful designs for both of the projects she owned, and had consistently great suggestions whether it was for product functionality or process improvements for our UX team. I look forward to following her career and can only hope I have the chance to work with her again!
